Who Can Participate

  • Age Requirement:
    • Minimum 7 years.
  • First-timers are welcome, though prior trekking experience is preferred. Good fitness is a must.
  • Fitness Criteria:
    • The trekker should have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance by jogging in 40 minutes without stress or 10 km of distance in 90 minutes without stress
    • If the trekker prefers cycling, he/she should be able to cycle 8 km of distance in 30 minutes.

  • If the trekker wants to carry a backpack, he/she should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack. If opt Off-load option then the trekker should be able to carry a 3-5 kg backpack.
  • If a trekker’s BMI is more or less than the normal range (18-29), please consult our Trek Coordinator before booking.

Itinerary

Day-1: Kathgodam to Pithoragarh

  • Altitude: 1,585 m / 5,200 ft
  • Driving Distance: 200 km
  • Driving Time: 7-8 hrs
  • Route: Via Jageshwar Dham

Day-2: Pithoragarh to Gunji/Nabi via Dharchula

  • Altitude (Dharchula): 915 m / 3,000 ft
  • Altitude (Gunji/Nabi): 3,200 m / 10,500 ft
  • Driving Distance: 170 km | 7-8 hrs
  • Note: Break at Dharchula to collect permits

Day-3: Gunji/Nabi to Nabidhang and back to Gunji/Nabi

  • Altitude (Nabidhang): 4,300 m / 14,100 ft
  • Driving Distance(One way): 25 km | 2-3 hrs
  • Note: Bad road conditions can be considered

Day-4: Gunji/Nabi to Jolingkong and back to Gunji/ Nabi

  • Altitude (Jolingkong): 4,420 m / 14,500 ft
  • Driving Distance(One way): 20-25 km | 2-3 hrs
  • Gunji – Kuti: 1 hr
  • Kuti – Jolingkong: 15 km | 1 hr

Day-5: Gunji/Nabi to Chaukori

Day-6: Chaukori to Kathgodam via Patal Bhuvaneshwar

  • Driving Distance: 230 km | 8-9 hrs.
  • Via route Patal Bhuvaneshwar (8hrs Drive).

Day 1: Kathgodam to Pithoragarh

Your journey with NK Adventure begins from Kathgodam. Enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. En route, witness the serene Bhimtal Lake and pass through Almora. We also visit the sacred Jageshwar Dham Temple, marking the spiritual beginning of the Adi Kailash Yatra.

Pithoragarh, often called “Mini Kashmir”, welcomes you with panoramic Himalayan views and rich Kumaoni culture. Overnight stay at Pithoragarh.

Day 2: Pithoragarh to Gunji/Nabi via Dharchula

  • Driving Distance: 170 km | 7–8 hrs
  • Permit: Issued at Dharchula

After breakfast, drive towards Gunji/Nabi. The route follows the scenic Kali River and passes through Tawaghat, Bundi, and Malpa. At Dharchula, necessary permits are collected as this region lies close to the Indo-Tibetan border.

Witness the confluence of Dhauliganga and Kali River and enjoy breathtaking Himalayan landscapes before reaching Gunji/Nabi for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Gunji/Nabi to Nabidhang & Return

  • Altitude (Nabidhang): 4,300 m / 14,100 ft
  • Distance (One Way): 25 km | 2–3 hrs drive

Today’s highlight is the sacred Om Parvat. Drive through dramatic high-altitude landscapes to reach Nabidhang. The natural snow formation on the mountain resembles the holy ‘Om’ symbol, making it spiritually significant.

After spending time admiring and capturing the majestic views, return to Gunji/Nabi for the night.

Day 4: Gunji/Nabi to Jolingkong (Adi Kailash) & Return

  • Altitude (Jolingkong): 4,420 m / 14,500 ft
  • Driving Distance (One Way): 20–25 km
  • Visit Kuti Village & Pandav Fort
  • Short trek to Parvati Kund & Gauri Kund

With chants of “Har Har Mahadev,” proceed towards the sacred Adi Kailash. En route, pass Kuti Village, the last inhabited village on this route.

At Jolingkong, visit Parvati Kund and the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Witness the majestic Adi Kailash peak and explore nearby sacred sites before returning to your stay.

Day 5: Gunji/Nabi to Chaukori

  • Driving Distance: 180 km | 7–8 hrs

Descend from the higher Himalayas to the peaceful hill town of Chaukori. Enjoy stunning views of Himalayan peaks and relax in comfortable accommodation.

Chaukori is known for its tea gardens and spectacular sunrise and sunset views.

Day 6: Chaukori to Kathgodam via Patal Bhuvaneshwar

  • Driving Distance: 230 km | 8–9 hrs

On the final day, drive back to Kathgodam. En route, visit the sacred Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for its intricate rock formations.

The journey concludes with beautiful memories of Adi Kailash and Om Parvat with NK Adventure.

The opening date for Adi Kailash Yatra 2025 is May 2nd. The route typically opens in early May once weather conditions improve and mountain roads are cleared after winter.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

 

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
