Mt. Hanuman Tibba at 5932 M is one of the most thrilling peaks to summit in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas near Manali. The trail to this pyramid shaped peak passes through the beautiful alpine meadows of Solang Valley, glaciers and rivers of Beas Kund and finally across the imposing Tentu Pass giving you stunning and diverse change in scenery all throughout the trek. This expedition is meant for those aspiring to push their limits and take it up a notch from regular trekking but only with prior trekking experience since the Hanuman Tibba expedition is no small feat involving technical climb and high fitness level to successfully undertake this epic expedition. Prior technical knowledge of the use of crampons and jumar is a must. The summit offers you unimaginable views of the ocean of mountains that you get to witness thus making this expedition a once in a lifetime opportunity. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Manali

The team assembles in Manali by late morning. The day is used for acclimatization and completing expedition formalities.

Necessary permits from IMF, BRO, and SDM are arranged. In case road permits are unavailable, an additional hike may be required.

The team gathers in the evening for introductions and preparation.


Day 2

Manali to Dhundi to Bakkarthatch

Distance: 21 kms drive + 4.5 kms trek

We drive early morning to Dhundi and begin the trek towards Bakkarthatch.

The trail follows the Beas River through lush green terrain with occasional stream crossings.

We reach base camp by afternoon and set up camp.


Day 3

Bakkar Thach to Beas Kund Glacier (3600 M)

A short but steep climb leads us to the glacier region with moraine fields and expansive landscapes.

We camp near the base of Tentu Pass.


Day 4

Rest day at base camp

This day is reserved for acclimatization, gear checks, and technical training including crampon fitting.


Day 5

Base Camp to Advanced Camp (4000 M) and back

We load ferry to Advanced Base Camp while practicing ice climbing techniques.

Return to Base Camp for overnight stay.


Day 6

Base Camp to Advanced Camp (4000 M)

We shift to Advanced Base Camp and prepare for higher climbs.

Overnight in tents.


Day 7

Advanced Camp to Camp 1 (4800 M)

A steep ascent over snow terrain leads to Camp 1.

The climb includes crossing Tentu Pass and may require rope fixing.


Day 8

Camp 1 to Summit Camp (5000 M)

A long glacier walk with crevasse navigation takes us to Summit Camp.

Preparation for summit push begins.


Day 9

Summit Attempt (5932 M) and back to Camp 1

The summit push begins post-midnight.

Enjoy panoramic views of Himalayan ranges before descending back to Camp 1.


Day 10

Camp 1 to Base Camp

We descend back to Base Camp and rest.


Day 11

Rest at Base Camp

A recovery day to rest and prepare for descent.


Day 12

Base Camp to Manali

We trek back to Dhundi and drive to Manali.

The expedition concludes here.


Day 13

Buffer Day

This day is kept as contingency in case of weather delays.

This is a list of essential items for individuals doing the trek with New Knight Adventure. This list contains only those items which the participants are required to bring with them. FAQs

Mt. Hanuman Tibba Expedition is recommended only for experienced trekkers who have prior high-altitude and technical trekking experience.

If you can run 5 km in 25–30 minutes and comfortably complete strength training exercises like squats, lunges and push-ups, you are on the right track.

With structured preparation over a few months, you can build the endurance required for this expedition.

You should know basic mountaineering techniques such as using an ice axe, roping up, ascending steep gradients, rappelling and handling technical climbing equipment.

Minimum age is 16 years (16–17 must be accompanied by guardian). Above 60 requires medical fitness certificate.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

 

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
