Day 1
Arrive in Leh (3,500 M)
The trek starts from Leh, a major gateway to Ladakh and a hub for high-altitude expeditions.
Day one is reserved for arrival and settling into accommodation. Proper rest is essential for acclimatization.
Day 2
Rest and Acclimatization in Leh (3,500M)
This day is dedicated to acclimatization. Light activity, hydration, and rest are key.
You can explore the local market, monasteries, and surroundings. A briefing session is also conducted.
Day 3
Leh (3,500M) to Kargil (2,676M)
Distance: 217 kms
Duration: 6-7 hour drive
We begin the journey towards Mount Nun. The drive offers scenic views of Ladakh’s landscape.
You will meet the support team and Sherpas accompanying the expedition.
Day 4
Kargil (2,676M) to Tangol (3,700M)
Distance: 65 kms
Duration: 2 hours
We drive to Tangol, a small village near the Suru River and the trailhead for Mt. Nun.
An acclimatization walk is done in the evening.
Day 5
Rest day at Tangol (3,700M)
This day is reserved for acclimatization and basic training including equipment handling and knot practice.
Overnight stay in camps.
Day 6
Tangol (3,700M) to Base Camp (4,600M)
Distance: 7-8 kms
Duration: 7 hours trek
The trek begins with a gradual ascent followed by a pass crossing.
After the pass, the terrain changes and leads to a colder valley with glacial surroundings.
We reach base camp after crossing streams near a waterfall.
Day 7
Rest and Acclimatization at Base Camp (4,600M)
The day starts with a traditional puja at base camp.
We focus on gear setup, technical training, and preparation for higher camps.
Day 8 – Day 18
Expedition
High-altitude conditions require flexible planning and adaptive schedules.
The climb includes camps at 5,550M, 6,100M, and 6,400M.
Rotation climbs and acclimatization are carried out before summit attempts.
The summit push involves steep technical sections and long climbing hours.
After the summit, the team descends back to base camp.
Day 19
Base Camp (4,600M) to Tangol (3,700M) & drive to Kargil (2,676M)
We descend to Tangol and then drive to Kargil.
The journey is relatively easy and we reach by evening.
Day 20
Kargil (2,676M) to Leh (3,500M)
Distance: 217 kms
Duration: 6-7 hour drive
We return to Leh and celebrate the completion of the expedition.
Day 21
Depart from Leh
The expedition concludes with celebration and reflection.
It is advisable to keep buffer days before onward travel.
Day 22
Reserve Day
This day is kept as contingency in case of bad weather or delays.
