Who Can Participate

  • Age Requirement:
    • Minimum 14 years
  • First-timers are welcome, though prior trekking experience is preferred. Good fitness is a must.
  • Fitness Criteria:
    • The Trekker should have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance by jogging in 30 minutes without stress or 10 km of distance in 70 minutes without stress
    • If the trekker prefers cycling he/ she should be able to cycle 18 km of distance in 50 minutes.
  • If the trekker wants to carry a backpack then he/she should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack. If opt Off-load option then the trekker should be able to carry 3-5 kg backpack.
  • If a trekker’s BMI is more or less than the normal range (18-27), please consult our Trek Coordinator before booking.

Itinerary

Day-1: Rishikesh to Pipalkoti

  • Altitude: 1,500m/4,950ft.
  • 200 km drive, approx 10 hours.

Day-2: Pipalkoti To Jumma (Drive), Trek To Ruing Village

  • Pipalkoti to Jumma drive: 90km | 2- 3 hours.
  • Altitude Ruing village 2,800m/ 9,200ft.
  • Trek: 3km | 2 hours.

Day-3: Ruing Village to Dronagiri Village

  • Altitude Dronagiri village 3,450m/11,400ft.
  • Trek 8km | 8-9 hours.

Day-4: Dronagiri village to Longatulli

  • Altitude Longatulli 3,900m/12,900ft.
  • Trek 6km | 7-8 hours.

Day-5: Langatuli to Bagini Base camp

  • Altitude Base Camp 4,600m/15,100ft.
  • Trek 5km | 6-7hours.

Day-6: Base camp to Bagini Glacier & return

  • Altitude Bagini Glacier 4,900m/16,000ft.
  • Trek 3+3km | 5hr both way.

Day-7: Base camp to Dronagiri Village

  • Altitude Dronagiri village 3,450m/11,400ft.
  • Trek 11km, 8-9 hours.

Day-8: Dronagiri Village to Pipalkoti via: Ruing Village

  • Altitude Jumma Village 2,700m/8,850ft.
  • Trek to Jumma via Ruing village 11km | 7 hours.
  • Jumma to Pipalkoti drive 9-km, 2-3 hours.

Day-9: Pipalkoti to Rishikesh

  • After Morning Tea/Coffee, Depart to Rishikesh.
  • Breakfast and Lunch are not included in the trek cost.
  • you’ll reach Rishikesh between 5 -6:00 pm. You can book further travel any time after 7:00 pm

  • Keep a buffer day in your travel plan
  • If buffer day is not used in the travel then it can be used to Explore Rishikesh
  • Distance, Altitude, and Trekking hours are approximate and rounded off

Day 1: Rishikesh to Pipalkoti

  • Altitude: 1,500 m
  • Drive Distance: 200 km | 9–10 hrs

The journey begins from Rishikesh with a scenic drive to Pipalkoti. En route, pass the sacred confluences of Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag.

After arrival, check into a guesthouse and attend a trek briefing. Overnight stay at Pipalkoti.

Day 2: Drive to Jumma & Trek to Ruing Village

  • Altitude: 2,800 m
  • Trek Distance: 3 km | 2 hrs

Drive to Jumma village and begin trekking towards Ruing. The trail crosses a suspension bridge over the Dhauliganga River and climbs gradually through forested terrain.

Overnight stay in tents near Ruing village.

Day 3: Ruing Village to Dronagiri

  • Altitude: 3,450 m
  • Trek Distance: 8 km | 8–9 hrs

Trek through forest patches and landslide-prone zones with caution. Enjoy views of Hathi Parvat and Ghori Parvat.

Camp at Dronagiri village, surrounded by alpine meadows and majestic Himalayan peaks.

Day 4: Dronagiri to Longatulli

  • Altitude: 3,900 m
  • Trek Distance: 6 km | 7–8 hrs

Cross Bagini Nala and continue along rocky terrain. The landscape becomes more barren as you gain altitude.

Camp at Longatulli, an ideal acclimatization stop with beautiful ridge views.

Day 5: Longatulli to Bagini Base Camp

  • Altitude: 4,600 m
  • Trek Distance: 5 km | 6–7 hrs

Ascend gradually through rocky moraines to reach Bagini Base Camp.

Enjoy panoramic views of Rishi Pahar, Hardeol, and Satminal peaks. Overnight camping at base camp.

Day 6: Bagini Glacier Exploration & Return

  • Altitude: 4,900 m
  • Trek Distance: 6 km (round trip)

Early morning hike towards Bagini Glacier and Changabang Base area. Witness sunrise views over peaks like Changabang, Kalanka, Trishuli, and Dunagiri.

After exploring the glacier region, return to base camp for overnight stay.

Day 7: Base Camp to Dronagiri Village

  • Altitude: 3,450 m
  • Trek Distance: 11 km | 8–9 hrs

Begin descent retracing the route through Longatulli back to Dronagiri.

Overnight camping at Dronagiri village.

Day 8: Dronagiri to Pipalkoti via Jumma

  • Trek Distance: 11 km | 7 hrs

Descend to Jumma and drive back to Pipalkoti. Relax at the guesthouse after completing the trek.

Day 9: Pipalkoti to Rishikesh

  • Drive Distance: 200 km | 8–9 hrs

Drive back to Rishikesh, marking the end of your 9-day Bagini Glacier & Changbang Base Camp adventure with NK Adventure.

The Bagini Glacier Trek is a moderate-grade Himalayan trek that takes you through alpine meadows, oak and rhododendron forests, and rugged mountain terrain. The highlight is the scenic Bagini Glacier along with panoramic views of Himalayan peaks and access to the Changbang Base Camp.

The Bagini Glacier Trek covers approximately 43 km.

The Changbang Base Camp Trek is a challenging high-altitude trek in the Garhwal Himalayas. Starting from Lata village, the trail passes through forests, meadows, and glacial terrain before reaching the base camp of Mt. Changbang, offering spectacular Himalayan views.

The combined distance of the Bagini Glacier and Changbang Base Camp Trek is approximately 53 km.

The best time to undertake this trek is from May to October. Clear skies and pleasant daytime temperatures offer excellent mountain views. The monsoon months (July–August) are generally avoided due to heavy rainfall and slippery trails.

The Bagini Glacier Trek is graded as Moderate, while the Changbang Base Camp Trek is considered Difficult due to higher altitude and demanding terrain.

Bagini Glacier is located at approximately 13,450 ft, while Changbang Base Camp stands at around 15,250 ft above sea level.

Accommodation is provided in twin-sharing alpine tents at designated campsites throughout the trek.

Yes, permits are mandatory as the trek falls within the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. Forest department permissions and Inner Line Permits (ILP) are required and are arranged by the expedition organizer.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

 

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
