Who Can Participate

  • Age Requirement:
    • Minimum 7 years.
  • First-timers are welcome, though prior trekking experience is preferred. Good fitness is a must.
  • Fitness Criteria:
    • The trekker should have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance by jogging in 40 minutes without stress or 10 km of distance in 90 minutes without stress
    • If the trekker prefers cycling, he/she should be able to cycle 8 km of distance in 30 minutes.
  • If the trekker wants to carry a backpack, he/she should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack. If opt Off-load option then the trekker should be able to carry a 3-5 kg backpack.
  • If a trekker’s BMI is more or less than the normal range (18-29), please consult our Trek Coordinator before booking.

Day-1: Rishikesh to Ghes (Drive)

  • Altitude (Ghes): 7,700 ft.
  • Drive Distance: 254 km | 9-10 hrs

Day-2: Ghes To Dayalkheti

  • Altitude (Dayalkheti): 9,400 ft 
  • Trek Distance: 5-6 km | 4-5 hrs

Day-3: Dayalkheti To Bagji Bugyal Basecamp

  • Altitude (Bagji Bugyal Base Camp): 10,700 ft
  • Trek Distance: 2-3 km | 2 hrs

Day-4: Bagji Bugyal Basecamp To Dhulamb Via Bagji Bugyal Top

  • Altitude (Bagji Bugyal Top): 11,100 ft
  • Altitude (Dhulamb): 9,800 ft
  • Trek Distance: 6 km | 4-5 hrs

Day-5: Dhulamb To Himni

  • Altitude (Himni): 8000 ft

Day 1: Rishikesh to Ghes (Drive)

Your journey begins from Rishikesh with a scenic drive to the remote Himalayan village of Ghes. En route, pass the sacred confluences of Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag.

Ghes offers stunning views of Mt. Nanda Ghunti, Trishul, and Mrigthoni, surrounded by dense forests of Pine, Oak, and Rhododendron. Overnight stay at Ghes.

Day 2: Ghes to Dayalkheti

  • Altitude: 9,400 ft
  • Trek Distance: 5–6 km | 4–5 hrs

Begin trekking through forest trails and gradual ascents toward Dayalkheti. Enjoy panoramic views of Trishul, Devtoli, and the Pindar Valley.

The campsite at Dayalkheti is surrounded by ancient Rhododendron trees and offers spectacular Himalayan vistas. Overnight camping.

Day 3: Dayalkheti to Bagji Bugyal Base Camp

  • Altitude: 10,700 ft
  • Trek Distance: 2–3 km | 2 hrs

Trek through forest patches and gradual ascents to reach Bagji Bugyal Base Camp. The first glimpses of the vast alpine meadows unfold beautifully.

From the campsite, enjoy views of Chaukhamba, Kedar Dome, and surrounding Himalayan peaks. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Bagji Bugyal Top to Dhulamb

  • Altitude (Top): 11,100 ft
  • Altitude (Dhulamb): 9,800 ft
  • Trek Distance: 6 km | 4–5 hrs

Climb to Bagji Bugyal Top for breathtaking panoramic views of Garhwal and Kumaon Himalayas.

Descend through meadows and forest ridges toward Dhulamb campsite. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 5: Dhulamb to Himni

  • Altitude: 8,000 ft
  • Trek Distance: 4 km | 3–4 hrs

Descend gradually through forests and open meadows. Pass small water sources and traditional huts along the way.

Reach Himni village, experiencing the simple mountain lifestyle. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 6: Himni to Rishikesh (Drive)

  • Drive Distance: 259 km | 9–10 hrs

After breakfast, drive back to Rishikesh, marking the end of your Bagji Bugyal adventure with NK Adventure.

The Bagji Bugyal Trek is a scenic Himalayan trek that takes you through oak and rhododendron forests to expansive alpine meadows known as “bugyals.” The highlight is the vast Bagji Bugyal meadow, offering panoramic Himalayan views and an ideal camping experience.

The total trekking distance of Bagji Bugyal is approximately 25 km.

The trek reaches a maximum altitude of approximately 11,100 ft above sea level.

April to June: Day temperature ranges between 15°C to 25°C, while nights can drop to 5°C to 10°C.

September to November: Day temperature ranges between 10°C to 20°C, and nights can drop to 0°C to 5°C.

These seasons offer clear skies and pleasant trekking conditions.

Accommodation is provided in twin-sharing alpine tents at designated campsites along the trek.

While experienced trekkers may navigate independently, hiring a professional guide is recommended for safety, navigation, and local expertise—especially for beginners.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

 

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
