Who Can Participate

  • Age Requirement:
    • Minimum 9 years
  • First-timers are welcome, though prior trekking experience is preferred. Good fitness is a must.
  • Fitness Criteria:
    • The Trekker should have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance by jogging in 35 minutes without stress or 10 km of distance in 80 minutes without stress
    • If the trekker prefers cycling he/ she should be able to cycle 10 km of distance in 30 minutes.
  • If the trekker wants to carry a backpack then he/she should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack. If opt Off-load option then the trekker should be able to carry a 3-5 kg backpack.
  • If a trekker’s BMI is more or less than the normal range (18-29), please consult our Trek Coordinator before booking.

Day-1: Drive from Manali to Dhundi and Trek to Palchhani Thach

  • Altitude:

Day-3: Trek from Lohali to Summit point via Lady Leg and back to Lohali

Drive from Manali to Dhundi, the starting point of the trek. Begin trekking through forested trails with moderate ascent toward Palchani Thach.

Set up camp amidst scenic meadows and enjoy acclimatization walks in the evening.

Day 2: Palchani Thach to Lohali

Trek through coniferous forests of pine and birch. The trail includes stream crossings and gradual ascent.

As the tree line fades, the valley opens up revealing boulder sections and flowing Beas River. Camp at Lohali with stunning mountain views.

Day 3: Lohali to Beas Kund Summit Point & Return

Early morning trek toward Beas Kund via Lady Leg meadow. Enjoy panoramic views of Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal ranges.

Visit the glacial Beas Kund Lake and witness peaks like Hanuman Tibba and Deo Tibba before descending back to Lohali.

Day 4: Lohali to Dhundi & Drive Back to Manali

The Beas Kund Trek is considered an easy to moderate trek. Due to its short duration and gradual ascent, it is suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. It is also a good option for families seeking a Himalayan adventure.

The best time to undertake the Beas Kund Trek is from May to October. During May and June, the meadows are lush green with blooming wildflowers. Post-monsoon months offer clear skies and stunning mountain views.

The trek offers breathtaking views of alpine meadows, glaciers, and prominent Himalayan peaks. The highlight is Beas Kund, a pristine glacial lake believed to be the source of the Beas River, surrounded by towering snow-clad mountains.

Although relatively easy, trekkers may encounter rocky terrain, gradual ascents, and high-altitude conditions near the final stretch. Proper acclimatization and steady pacing make the trek manageable.

The total trekking distance is approximately 18 km, usually completed over 4 days.

The maximum altitude of the trek is around 12,800 ft at Beas Kund.

The trek begins from Manali with a drive to Dhundi, followed by trekking towards Palchani Thach and further campsites.

The package typically includes accommodation in tents, all meals during the trek, professional trek leader and guides, support staff, camping equipment, medical assistance, permits, and transportation from the base location.

The trek is generally completed in 4 days, including travel from and back to Manali.

  • Day 1: Manali to Dhundi (Drive) and trek to Palchani Thach
  • Day 2: Palchani Thach to Lohali
  • Day 3: Lohali to Beas Kund and return to Lohali
  • Day 4: Lohali to Dhundi and drive back to Manali

Trekkers can witness magnificent views of Friendship Peak, Hanuman Tibba, Ladakhi Peak, and the Shitidhar massif.

Accommodation is provided in weatherproof twin-sharing tents set up in scenic campsites surrounded by mountains and alpine meadows.

The route starts from Manali → Dhundi → Palchani Thach → Lohali → Beas Kund and returns via the same trail.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

 

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
