FAQs

Bhrigu Lake is situated at an altitude of approximately 13,700 ft (4,200 meters) above sea level. This high-altitude alpine lake is surrounded by vast meadows and snow-covered Himalayan peaks.

The total trekking distance of the Bhrigu Lake Trek is approximately 24 km. The trek starts with a drive from Manali to Gulaba, which serves as the base point.

The trek is typically completed in 4 days, including the drive from Manali to the base point and return.

The best time to do the Bhrigu Lake Trek is from May to October. May and June offer snow patches along the trail, while post-monsoon months provide clear skies and lush green meadows.

It is not recommended to complete the trek in one day. Since the lake lies at 13,700 ft, proper acclimatization is important for safety and comfort.

In June, snow is usually present near the higher sections and around the lake, while the lower meadows begin turning green. Snow availability depends on seasonal conditions.

The trek route follows: Manali → Gulaba → Rola Kholi → Bhrigu Lake → return via same route. It is a well-balanced trail offering alpine meadows, ridge walks, and panoramic Himalayan views.

Accommodation is provided in weatherproof twin-sharing tents set up at scenic campsites surrounded by meadows and mountains.

The package generally includes accommodation in tents, all meals during the trek, professional trek leader and guides, support staff, camping equipment, medical assistance, transportation from the base location, and required permits.
