Who Can Participate

  • Age Requirement:
    • Minimum 9 years
  • First-timers are welcome, though prior trekking experience is preferred. Good fitness is a must.
  • Fitness Criteria:
    • The Trekker should have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance by jogging in 35 minutes without stress or 10 km of distance in 80 minutes without stress
    • If the trekker prefers cycling he/ she should be able to cycle 10 km of distance in 30 minutes.
  • If the trekker wants to carry a backpack then he/she should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack. If opt Off-load option then the trekker should be able to carry a 3-5 kg backpack.
  • If a trekker’s BMI is more or less than the normal range (18-29), please consult our Trek Coordinator before booking.

Day-1: Dehradun to Sankri

Day-2: Sankri to Dharkot and trek to Osla Village

  • Altitude:
    • Osla: 2750 m/ 9000 ft
    • Dharkot: 2500 m / 8400 ft
  • Drive Distance (Sankri to Dharkot): 24 km | 2 hr
  • Trek Distance: 8 km | 5-6 hrs

Day-3: Osla to Seematra

  • Altitude Seematra: 3250 m/ 10800 ft
  • Trek Distance: 7 km | 4-5 hrs

Day-4: Seematra to Har Ki Dun and Back to Seematra

  • Altitude Har Ki Dun: 3500 m/ 11600 ft

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Dehradun to Sankri, a charming Himalayan village that serves as the base camp for the Har Ki Dun trek. The route passes through Mussoorie, Kempty Falls, Purola, Mori and Netwar while following the beautiful Tons River valley.

As you drive deeper into the mountains, the scenery gradually changes from bustling towns to peaceful pine forests and remote Himalayan villages. By evening you reach Sankri, where you can relax and enjoy stunning views of the Swargarohini peaks.

Day 2: Sankri to Dharkot – Trek to Osla Village

  • Altitude: Osla – 2,750 m / 9,000 ft
  • Drive Distance: 24 km | 2 hours
  • Trek Distance: 8 km | 5–6 hours
  • Stay: Homestay

After breakfast, drive from Sankri to Dharkot, the last motorable point of the trek. From here the trekking trail begins through beautiful forests of pine and cedar.

The trail passes through the picturesque Gangar village before gradually ascending toward Osla. Along the route you can enjoy spectacular views of Bandarpoonch and the Swargarohini mountain range.

Osla is a traditional Himalayan village known for its ancient wooden architecture and rich cultural heritage. Overnight stay is arranged in a village homestay.

Day 3: Osla to Seematra

  • Altitude: 3,250 m / 10,800 ft
  • Trek Distance: 7 km | 4–5 hours
  • Stay: Camps

Today's trek begins with a walk through the charming Osla village before gradually ascending through forested trails and open meadows.

As you gain altitude the views become increasingly spectacular. The trail offers breathtaking panoramas of towering Himalayan peaks including the Black Peak and the Ruinsara range.

By afternoon you arrive at Seematra, a beautiful campsite surrounded by majestic mountains and lush greenery.

Day 4: Seematra to Har Ki Dun Valley – Return to Seematra

  • Altitude: 3,500 m / 11,600 ft
  • Trek Distance: 8 km round trip | 6–7 hours
  • Stay: Camps

Today is the highlight of the trek as you hike to the spectacular Har Ki Dun Valley. The trail climbs gradually through alpine meadows, forests and scenic river valleys.

At the valley you are rewarded with magnificent views of Swargarohini, Hata Peak and Black Peak. The valley is believed to be connected to ancient mythology and is often referred to as the “Valley of Gods”.

After exploring the valley and enjoying the stunning scenery, return to Seematra campsite for the night.

Day 5: Seematra to Pauni Gharat

  • Altitude: 2,500 m / 8,300 ft
  • Trek Distance: 8–9 km | 4–5 hours
  • Stay: Camps

After breakfast begin descending along the same scenic trail toward Pauni Gharat. The path winds through dense forests of oak and conifer trees while offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Along the way you cross the Seema Bridge over the Thamsa River and pass traditional water mills used by local villagers.

Reach Pauni Gharat by afternoon and spend the evening relaxing at the campsite surrounded by peaceful mountain landscapes.

Day 6: Pauni Gharat to Dharkot – Drive to Sankri

  • Drive Distance: 24 km | 2 hours
  • Stay: Hotel / Guesthouse

Today marks the final trekking day of the journey. After breakfast descend through forest trails toward Dharkot.

Upon reaching Dharkot, vehicles will take you back to Sankri. The drive offers one last opportunity to enjoy the serene mountain landscapes.

Spend the evening relaxing at your hotel and celebrating the successful completion of the trek.

Day 7: Sankri to Dehradun

  • Drive Distance: 200 km | 9–10 hours

After breakfast begin the return journey from Sankri to Dehradun. The scenic drive once again passes through charming mountain villages, dense forests and river valleys.

You are expected to reach Dehradun by evening, marking the end of a memorable adventure in the beautiful Har Ki Dun Valley.

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
