Who Can Participate

  • Age Requirement:
    • Minimum 16 years
  • First-timers are welcome, though prior trekking experience is preferred. Good fitness is a must.
  • Fitness Criteria:
    • The Trekker should have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 30 minutes without stress or 10 km of distance by jogging in 70 minutes without stress.
    • If the trekker prefers cycling he/ she should be able to cycle 20 km of distance in 55 minutes.
  • If the trekker wants to carry a backpack then he/she should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack. If opt Off-load option then the Trekker should be able to carry 3-5 kg backpack.
  • If a trekker’s BMI is more or less than the normal range (18-26), please consult our Trek Coordinator before booking.

Itinerary

Day-1: Arrive at Kathmandu

  • Altitude: 1300 m / 4300 ft.

Day-2: Kathmandu to Machhakhola

  • Altitude( Machhakhola): 850 m/ 2800 ft.
  • Drive Distance: 160 km | 8 -9 hours.

Day-3: MachhaKhola to Jagat

  • Altitude(Jagat): 1300 m/ 4300 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 22 km | 7 – 8 hour.

Day-4: Jagat to Dang

  • Altitude(Dang): 1850 m /6000 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 20 km | 7 -8 hour.

Day-5: Dang to Namrung

  • Altitude(Namrung): 2600 m / 8600 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 18km | 7-8 hour.

Day-6: Namrung to Lho

  • Altitude(Lho): 3200 m/ 10400 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 10km | 4-5 hours.

Day-7: Lho to SamaGaon

  • Altitude(SamaGaon): 3500m / 11500 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 9km | 5-6 hour.

Day-8: Rest at SamaGaon

  • Explore Pungin gompa Or Manaslu Base camp.

Day-9: SamaGaon to Samdo

  • Altitude(Samdo): 3900 m/  12700 ft.

Day-10: Samdo to Dharamsala

  • Altitude(Dharamsala ): 4500m / 14700 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 12km | 5 hours.

Day-11: Dharamsala to Larkya pass and descending to Bimthang

Day-12: Bimthang to Dharapani

Day-13: Drive from Dharapani by Jeep via Beshisahar to Kathmandu

  • Drive Distance( Dharapani-Kathmandu): 200km | 9-10 hours.

Day-14: Fly back home

Today, we bid goodbye to the mountains as our journey in Nepal comes to an end. Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative will transfer you to the airport on your way home you’ll have plenty of time to plan your next Adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Your Manaslu Circuit Trek begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal. After landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, complete immigration formalities and transfer to your hotel.

In the evening, attend a briefing session where your trek leader will introduce the itinerary, safety guidelines and important information about the upcoming adventure. You can also explore the lively streets, markets and temples of Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Machhakhola

  • Altitude: 850 m / 2,800 ft
  • Drive Distance: 160 km | 8–9 hrs

Today you travel by road from Kathmandu to Machhakhola. The journey passes through scenic hills, terraced fields, rural villages and rivers. You will also witness impressive views of Himalayan peaks such as Annapurna, Manaslu and Ganesh Himal.

After driving through Arughat Bazaar, continue further to Machhakhola where you stay overnight in a teahouse.

Day 3: Trek from Machhakhola to Jagat

  • Altitude: 1,300 m / 4,300 ft
  • Trek Distance: 22 km | 7–8 hrs

The trek begins along the Budhi Gandaki River valley. Walk through rocky trails, suspension bridges and lush forest landscapes.

Pass villages like Tatopani and Doban before reaching Jagat, a beautiful Gurung village with traditional houses and teahouses.

Day 4: Trek from Jagat to Dang

  • Altitude: 1,850 m / 6,000 ft
  • Trek Distance: 20 km | 7–8 hrs

Today the trail takes you through diverse landscapes including bamboo forests, ridges and suspension bridges across the Budhi Gandaki River.

Pass villages such as Sirdibas and Philim before reaching the small settlement of Dang where you stay overnight.

Day 5: Trek from Dang to Namrung

  • Altitude: 2,600 m / 8,600 ft
  • Trek Distance: 18 km | 7–8 hrs

The trail gradually climbs through forests and small villages. You will cross the Budhi Gandaki River several times and encounter traditional monasteries and Buddhist prayer stones along the route.

Namrung offers beautiful views and a glimpse of the Tibetan culture that dominates the region.

Day 6: Trek from Namrung to Lho

  • Altitude: 3,200 m / 10,400 ft
  • Trek Distance: 10 km | 4–5 hrs

Today the scenery changes dramatically as you gain altitude. The trail passes through villages like Lihi and Sho before reaching Lho.

From Lho village you can enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Manaslu and visit the famous Ribung Monastery.

Day 7: Trek from Lho to Sama Gaon

  • Altitude: 3,500 m / 11,500 ft
  • Trek Distance: 9 km | 5–6 hrs

Walk through beautiful alpine landscapes with spectacular views of Manaslu and surrounding peaks.

The trail passes through Shyala village and eventually leads to Sama Gaon, a traditional Tibetan-style village with yak pastures and stunning mountain scenery.

Day 8: Acclimatization Day at Sama Gaon

  • Optional hike to Pungyen Gompa or Manaslu Base Camp

This rest day helps your body adapt to the higher altitude. You may explore nearby viewpoints or hike towards Manaslu Base Camp for incredible views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Day 9: Trek from Sama Gaon to Samdo

  • Altitude: 3,900 m / 12,700 ft
  • Trek Distance: 8–9 km | 4–5 hrs

Today’s trail gradually ascends through alpine terrain and yak pastures. Walk alongside the Budhi Gandaki River and enjoy dramatic mountain views.

Samdo is a small Tibetan refugee village located near the Nepal–Tibet border.

Day 10: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala

  • Altitude: 4,500 m / 14,700 ft
  • Trek Distance: 12 km | 5 hrs

The trail gradually climbs towards the base of Larkya La Pass. The landscape becomes more rugged with glaciers and high alpine terrain.

Spend the night at Dharamsala in basic dormitory-style accommodation.

Day 11: Cross Larkya La Pass and Trek to Bimthang

  • Larkya Pass: 5,100 m / 16,750 ft
  • Bimthang: 3,700 m / 12,100 ft

This is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. Start early to cross the high Larkya La Pass.

From the pass you can enjoy spectacular views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal and Annapurna II before descending to the beautiful valley of Bimthang.

Day 12: Trek from Bimthang to Dharapani

  • Altitude: 1,900 m / 6,200 ft
  • Trek Distance: 16 km | 7–8 hrs

Descend through forests of rhododendron, pine and bamboo along the Dudh Khola River. Pass villages like Gho and Tilche before reaching Dharapani.

Day 13: Drive from Dharapani to Kathmandu

  • Drive Distance: 200 km | 9–10 hrs

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu through scenic mountain roads and rural settlements.

In the evening celebrate the successful completion of the Manaslu Circuit Trek with a farewell dinner.

Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

Your Himalayan adventure concludes today. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight home with unforgettable memories of the Manaslu Circuit.

Items usually not included are Nepal visa fees, personal expenses such as shopping and laundry, tips for guides and porters, personal travel insurance, and emergency evacuation costs.

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

 

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
