By Day 4, you’ll confidently navigate Grade 2 rapids, and as the week unfolds, you’ll take on more challenging sections of the river, including mini-expeditions and longer downstream paddles.

Kayaking sessions run daily from 8 AM to 11 PM in summer and 9 AM to 12 PM in winter, with snacks available near the practice area.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Foundations of Kayaking
Begin your journey with a comprehensive orientation to kayaking equipment and safety protocols. Your instructor will guide you through basic skills, including proper swimming techniques in moving water, essential paddling strokes, and an introduction to river dynamics. You’ll also get hands-on time to familiarize yourself with your gear in a safe, controlled environment.

Day 2 – Whitewater Familiarization & Self-Rescue Basics
Dive into whitewater swimming techniques and learn how river currents behave. Practice emergency exit maneuvers (wet exits) in calm water. Begin foundational training for river crossings, and get your first taste of the Eskimo roll – a critical self-rescue technique – under close instructor supervision.

Day 3 – First Rapids Experience (Class II)
Apply your newly learned skills on real Class II rapids alongside professional guides. Your first guided rapid run focuses on basic obstacle navigation and reading the flow of the river. A post-session debrief helps refine your technique and build confidence.

Day 4 – Skill Consolidation & Mastery
Dedicate this day to advancing your skills: perfect river crossings, refine your Eskimo roll, and develop rapid navigation strategies. Take on guided Class II runs with an emphasis on self-rescue techniques and effective team coordination.

Day 5 – Progressing to Class II+
Step up to more challenging Class II+ rapids. Focus on technical maneuvers such as eddy hopping (catching and exiting calm water behind obstacles), ferry gliding (crossing currents at an angle), and advanced current utilization. Participate in scenario-based training to handle complex rapid sequences.

Day 6 – Challenge Day on Class III Rapids
Test your abilities on Class III whitewater. Intensive practice includes combat rolls (performing the Eskimo roll in moving current), precision river crossings, and rapid scouting techniques. End the day with a thorough safety analysis and debrief.

Day 7 – Final Expedition & Certification
Showcase everything you’ve learned. Execute technical river crossings and combat rolls in Class III whitewater during a final expedition run that combines all techniques. Celebrate your achievements with a certification ceremony and graduation.
