Who Can Participate

  • Age Requirement:
    • Minimum 16 years
  • Fitness Criteria:
    • The Trekker should have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 30 minutes without stress or 10 km of distance by jogging in 70 minutes without stress.
    • If the trekker prefers cycling he/ she should be able to cycle 20 km of distance in 55 minutes.
    • First-time trekkers are welcome, provided they meet the mentioned fitness requirements.
  • If the trekker wants to carry a backpack then he/she should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack. If opt Off-load option then the Trekker should be able to carry 3-5 kg backpack.
  • If a trekker’s BMI is more or less than the normal range (18-26), please consult our Trek Coordinator before booking

Itinerary

Day-1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive)

  • Altitude Sankri: 1,950 m/ 6,400 ft.
  • Drive: 200 km | 9-10 hrs.

Day-2: Sankri to Seema via Dharkot

  • Altitude:
    • Seema: 2,600 m/ 8,500 ft
    • Dharkot: 2,400 m/ 8,000 ft
  • Trek Distance (Dharkot- Seema): 4 km | 3-4 hours.
  • Drive Distance (Sankri – Dharkot): 24 km | 2 hrs.

Day-3: Seema to Devsu Bugyal

  • Altitude: 3,100 m/ 10,200 ft.
  • Trek Distance : 5-6km | 5-6 hr.

Day-4: Devsu Bugyal to Ruinsara Tal

  • Altitude Ruinsara Tal: 3,600 m/ 11,800 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 9 km | 5 – 6 hrs.

Day-5: Ruinsara Tal to Odari

  • Altitude: 4,000 m/ 13,100 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 4 km | 3- 4 hrs.

Day-6: Odari to Bali col camp

  • Altitude: 4,600 m/ 15,100 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 5 km | 6 – 7 hrs.

Day-7: Bali col camp to Lower Dhamni via Bali Pass

  • Altitude:
    • Bali Pass: 4,950 m/ 16,200 ft.
    • Lowar Dhamni: 3,350 m/ 11,100 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 14 km | 10 – 11 hrs.

Day-8: Lower Dhamni to Janki Chatti and drive to Dehradun

  • Altitude: 2,600 m/ 8,500 ft. (Janki Chatti).
  • Trek Distance (Lower Dhamni – Janki Chatti): 8 km | 4 – 5 hr.
  • Drive Distance (Janki Chatti- Dehradun): 170km | 7-8 hr.

  • Keep a buffer day in your travel plan.
  • If buffer day is not used in the travel then it can be used to Explore Dehradun/Mussoorie.
  • Distance, Altitude, and Trekking hours are approximate and rounded off.

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive)

Scenic drive from Dehradun to Sankri via Mussoorie and Purola. Enjoy views of the Yamuna and Tons rivers along the way.

Sankri, located inside Govind National Park, serves as the base camp for the Bali Pass Trek.

Day 2: Sankri to Seema via Dharkot

  • Seema: 2,600 m / 8,500 ft
  • Drive: 24 km | 2 hrs
  • Trek: 10 km | 6–7 hrs
  • Stay: Tents

Drive to Dharkot and begin trekking through forests of cedar, pine, and oak. Pass Gangar village before reaching Seema.

Day 3: Seema to Devsu Bugyal

  • Altitude: 3,100 m / 10,200 ft
  • Trek Distance: 5–6 km | 5–6 hrs
  • Stay: Tents

Trek along the Supin River and gradually ascend to the lush meadows of Devsu Bugyal.

Enjoy panoramic views of Ruinsara Valley and surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Day 4: Devsu Bugyal to Ruinsara Tal

  • Altitude: 3,600 m / 11,800 ft
  • Trek Distance: 9 km | 5–6 hrs

Trek to the beautiful glacial lake of Ruinsara Tal surrounded by alpine meadows and rhododendrons.

Views include Bandarpunch, Kala Nag, and Dhumdhar Kandi peaks.

Day 5: Ruinsara Tal to Odari

  • Altitude: 4,000 m / 13,100 ft
  • Trek Distance: 4 km | 3–4 hrs
  • Stay: Tents

A short yet scenic trek to Odari, known for its natural rock caves and views of Swargarohini peaks.

Briefing and preparation for the summit climb.

Day 6: Odari to Bali Col Camp

  • Altitude: 4,600 m / 15,100 ft
  • Trek Distance: 5 km | 6–7 hrs
  • Stay: Tents

Steep ascent along a ridge toward Bali Col Camp. Carry sufficient water as no sources are available en route.

Acclimatize properly and rest early for the summit day.

Day 7: Bali Pass Summit to Lower Dhamni

  • Bali Pass: 4,950 m / 16,200 ft
  • Lower Dhamni: 3,350 m / 11,100 ft
  • Trek Distance: 14 km | 10–11 hrs

Summit day with challenging snow sections and steep descents. Experience breathtaking 360° views of Bandarpunch, Swargarohini, and Yamunotri Valley.

Descend carefully to Lower Dhamni campsite.

Day 8: Lower Dhamni to Janki Chatti & Drive to Dehradun

Final descent toward Janki Chatti through scenic trails.

The trek requires good physical fitness. You should be able to jog 5 km in 30 minutes or complete 10 km in around 70 minutes comfortably. Regular cardio, strength training, and practice hikes with a backpack are recommended.

Yes, backpack offloading services are generally available, allowing trekkers to carry only a daypack during the trek.

The trek is considered moderate to difficult. It is not ideal for complete beginners unless they have good fitness and prior trekking experience.

The nearest reliable ATM is in Purola. It is advisable to withdraw sufficient cash before reaching Sankri.

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

 

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
