Who Can Participate

  • Age Requirement:
    • Minimum 9 years
  • First-timers are welcome, though prior trekking experience is preferred. Good fitness is a must.
  • Fitness Criteria:
    • The Trekker should have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance by jogging in 35 minutes without stress or 10 km of distance in 80 minutes without stress
    • If the trekker prefers cycling he/ she should be able to cycle 10 km of distance in 30 minutes.
  • If the trekker wants to carry a backpack then he/she should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack. If opt Off-load option then the trekker should be able to carry a 3-5 kg backpack.
  • If a trekker’s BMI is more or less than the normal range (18-29), please consult our Trek Coordinator before booking.

Itinerary

Day-1: Rishikesh to Lohajung (Drive)

  • Altitude: 2300 m/ 7800 ft
  • Driving distance: 250 km| 10 hrs approximately

Day-2: Lohajung to Gujreni

  • Altitude: 2,800 m/ 9,200 ft
  • Trek distance: 4-5 km | 5 hrs approximately

Day-3: Gujreni to Tilandi

  • Altitude: 3,200 m/ 10,500 ft
  • Trek distance: 4-5 km | 4 hrs approximately

Day-4: Tilandi to Brahmatal via Jhandi top and Brahmatal summit

  • Altitude:
    • Brahmatal summit: 3,750 m / 12,250 ft
    • Jhandi top: 3,400 m / 11,150 ft
    • Brahmatal camp: 3,200 m / 10,700 ft
  • Trek distance: 6 km | 7-8 hrs approximately

Day-5: Brahmatal to Lohajung

  • Altitude: 2,300m/ 7,800 ft
  • Trek distance: 10 km | 8 hrs approximately

Day-6: Lohajung to Rishikesh

  • Drive Distance: 250 kilometers | 10 hours approximately

Day 1: Rishikesh to Lohajung (Drive)

  • Altitude: 2,300 m / 7,800 ft
  • Drive Distance: 250 km | 10 hrs approx
  • Stay: Guest House

Drive from Rishikesh to Lohajung, the base village of the Brahmatal trek. The scenic journey passes along the Ganga and through famous confluences like Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karanprayag.

On reaching Lohajung, check into the guest house and rest. If weather permits, enjoy sunset views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Day 2: Lohajung to Gujreni

  • Altitude: 2,800 m / 9,200 ft
  • Trek Distance: 4–5 km | 5 hrs approx
  • Stay: Tent

Begin trekking through forest trails and mountain villages. The path gradually ascends through rhododendron and oak forests.

The campsite near Gujreni stream is surrounded by dense forest and offers a peaceful atmosphere for overnight stay.

Day 3: Gujreni to Tilandi

  • Altitude: 3,200 m / 10,500 ft
  • Trek Distance: 4–5 km | 4 hrs approx
  • Stay: Tent

Trek through oak and rhododendron forests before emerging into wide meadows. During winter, the trail is snow-covered, while spring brings blooming flowers.

Tilandi campsite offers stunning views of Mt. Trishul and Mt. Nanda Ghunti. Enjoy sunset and stargazing from this beautiful meadow camp.

Day 4: Tilandi – Jhandi Top – Brahmatal Summit – Brahmatal Camp

    • Jhandi Top: 3,400 m / 11,150 ft
    • Brahmatal Summit: 3,750 m / 12,250 ft
    • Brahmatal Camp: 3,200 m / 10,700 ft
  • Trek Distance: 6 km | 7–8 hrs approx

Today is the highlight of the trek. Walk along scenic ridges offering panoramic views of Trishul and Nanda Ghunti peaks.

Visit the beautiful Brahmatal Lake before descending to the campsite. The frozen lake in winter creates a magical alpine setting.

Day 5: Brahmatal to Lohajung

  • Altitude: 2,300 m / 7,800 ft
  • Trek Distance: 10 km | 8 hrs approx
  • Stay: Guest House

Descend through scenic forest trails and meadows back to Lohajung. The trail offers final glimpses of the magnificent Himalayan ranges.

Reach Lohajung and relax at the guest house after completing the trek.

Day 6: Lohajung to Rishikesh (Drive)

  • Drive Distance: 250 km | 10 hrs approx

Drive back to Rishikesh along the same scenic mountain roads, carrying unforgettable memories of the Brahmatal trek.

FAQs

At Base Camp Natin, we will stay in guest houses on a triple/quad sharing basis with separate arrangements for males and females. During camping, we provide twin-sharing all-season tents along with sleeping bags and mattresses, which are part of the central equipment provided by NK Adventure.

To run a batch, we require a minimum of 7 trekkers. The maximum batch size is 25 trekkers.

The minimum age allowed for this trek is 10 years. The maximum age limit depends on the trekker’s physical fitness.

No, we do not provide accommodation before the trek date. However, we can suggest good hotels or stays near the pick-up location.

Yes, offloading facilities are available. You can book it in advance for ₹1200 in total. If booked after reaching the base location, the cost is ₹1500 in total. The bag weight should not exceed 11 kg.

You should buy trekking shoes that have good grip, proper ankle support, and water-resistant layers. Recommended options include Quechua Trek 100, MH 100, or MH 500.

The Brahmatal Trek is suitable for both beginners and experienced trekkers. However, beginners should maintain good physical fitness as certain sections of the trek can be challenging.

You first need to reach Rishikesh, after which NK Adventure will assist with the further travel plan.

Options to reach Rishikesh:

1. By Train/Bus
Take an overnight train or bus directly to Rishikesh.

2. Via Haridwar
Take an overnight train or bus to Haridwar and drive to Rishikesh (about 35 minutes with normal traffic).

3. By Flight
Fly to Dehradun Airport (Jolly Grant Airport) and drive to Rishikesh (20 km, about 30 minutes). If coming by flight, it is recommended to arrive one day earlier.

We recommend using government buses over private buses as they are generally more reliable and have fewer delays. Please ensure you reach Rishikesh by 5:30 AM.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

 

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
