Who Can Participate

  • Age Requirement:
    • Minimum 12 years
  • First-timers are welcome, though prior trekking experience is preferred. Good fitness is a must.
  • Fitness Criteria:
    • The Trekker should have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance by jogging in 33 minutes without stress or 10 km of distance in 75 minutes without stress
    • If the trekker prefers cycling he/she should be able to cycle 15 km of distance in 45 minutes.
  • If the trekker wants to carry a backpack then he/she should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack. If opt Off-load option then the trekker should be able to carry 3-5 kg backpack.
  • If a trekker’s BMI is more or less than the normal range (18-28), please consult our Trek Coordinator before booking.

Itinerary

Day-1: Arrive At Uttarkashi

  • Drive Distance: 140 km approx. | Duration: 5 to 6 hrs.
  • Stay: in the hotel.

Day-2: Drive From Uttarkashi To Sangamchatti And Trek To Bebra via Agoda

  • Altitude: 7500 ft
  • Drive Distance: 12 km | Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hr
  • Trek Distance: 7km | Duration: 4 to 5 hrs
  • Stay: in tents (twin-sharing)

Day-3: Bebra To Manjhi

  • Altitude: 9,433 m
  • Trek Distance: 9 km | Duration: 4 to 5 hrs
  • Stay: in tents (twin-sharing)

Day-4: Trek From Manjhi To Dodital

  • Altitude: 10,900 ft.
  • Trek Distance: 6 km | Duration: 3 to 4 hrs.
  • Stay: in tents (twin-sharing).

Day-5: Trek From Dodital To Darwa Top and Back

  • Altitude: 13,300 ft
  • Trek Distance: 5 km (each side) | Duration: 7 to 8 hrs
  • Stay: in tents (twin-sharing)

Day-6: Trek From Dodital To Sangamchatti And Drive Back To Uttarkashi

  • Trek Distance: 22 km | Duration: 6 to 7 hrs.
  • Stay: In a hotel.

Day-7: Drive Back To Dehradun

  • Drive Distance: 140 km approx. | Duration: 5 to 6 hrs
  • Leave Natin by 6:30 am
  • Breakfast and lunch excluded
  • You will be dropped at Dehradun Station in a Tata Sumo/ Tempo Traveller or a similar vehicle
  • You will reach Dehradun between 3-4 pm. You can book your travel any time after 6 pm

Day 1: Dehradun to Uttarkashi

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Dehradun to Uttarkashi, a beautiful town located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. The road winds through forests, mountain valleys and small Himalayan settlements.

Uttarkashi is a popular base town for several trekking expeditions and mountaineering courses conducted by the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. The town is known for its temples, markets and stunning views of surrounding mountains.

After arrival, check into the hotel, explore the local market if needed, and attend a short briefing session about the trek.

Day 2: Uttarkashi to Sangamchatti – Trek to Bebra

  • Drive: 12 km | 45 minutes
  • Trek: 7 km | 4–5 hrs
  • Stay: Camps

After breakfast, drive to Sangamchatti, the starting point of the trek. The trail follows the Assi Ganga River and passes through scenic forests and traditional mountain villages.

On the way you will cross the small village of Agoda before continuing towards Bebra. The trail gradually descends into a beautiful valley surrounded by farmland and forests.

Reach Bebra by evening and set up camp near the river. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 3: Bebra to Manjhi

  • Trek Distance: 9 km | 4–5 hrs
  • Stay: Camps

Today's trek takes you deeper into the forest as the trail gradually climbs towards Manjhi campsite. The route is filled with oak, pine and rhododendron trees.

Along the way you may catch glimpses of surrounding Himalayan peaks and the flowing Assi Ganga river below.

After reaching Manjhi campsite, relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Manjhi to Dodital Lake

  • Altitude: 3,300 m / 10,900 ft
  • Trek Distance: 6 km | 3–4 hrs
  • Stay: Camps

Today you will trek to the beautiful Dodital Lake, one of the most scenic alpine lakes in Uttarakhand. The trail ascends gradually through forests before opening into a stunning lake basin.

Dodital is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and dense forests, creating a peaceful and picturesque setting. According to mythology, the lake is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha.

Spend the evening exploring the lake and visiting the nearby Ganpati temple. Overnight stay in camps beside the lake.

Day 5: Dodital to Darwa Pass and Return

  • Darwa Pass: 4,050 m / 13,300 ft
  • Trek Distance: 10 km (round trip) | 7–8 hrs
  • Stay: Camps

Wake up early and begin the trek towards Darwa Pass. The trail climbs steadily through rhododendron forests before reaching open alpine terrain.

From the pass you can enjoy spectacular views of Himalayan peaks including Bandarpoonch, Draupadi Ka Danda, Swargarohini and Kala Nag.

After spending time at the summit, descend back to Dodital Lake for overnight camping.

Day 6: Dodital to Sangamchatti – Drive to Uttarkashi

  • Trek Distance: 22 km | 6–7 hrs
  • Drive: 12 km
  • Stay: Hotel

Today marks the longest trekking day as you descend from Dodital back to Sangamchatti following the same scenic trail through Manjhi, Bebra and Agoda villages.

After reaching Sangamchatti, drive back to Uttarkashi and check into your hotel. Relax and enjoy a comfortable night after completing the trek.

Day 7: Uttarkashi to Dehradun

  • Drive: 140 km | 5–6 hrs

After breakfast, begin the return drive from Uttarkashi to Dehradun through the scenic Himalayan roads.

Arrive in Dehradun by afternoon or evening, marking the end of the memorable Dodital Darwa Pass Trek.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

When you have firmly decided to undertake the Tour with New Knight Adventure, you will need to book the trip with us. We must allocate enough time to prepare, obtain necessary documents and permits, and book hotels and Transport for the trip.
25% advance during the time of booking for confirmation
50% Amount one month prior of arrival in India
25% Amount to be one week prior of arrival in India

 

Cancellation Policy:

• If the cancellation is made 30 days before the tour starts, 25% of the full payment will be deducted and 75% will be refunded.
• If the cancellation is made 20 days before the tour start, 35% of the full payment will be deducted and 65% will be refunded
• If the cancellation is made 10 days before the tour start, 80% will be deducted and 20% will be refunded.
• No refund is made if the trip is cancelled after the departure for Expedition.
• No refund is made during the running tour.
• The cost of travel permit or any other documentation charges will not be refundable
